Analytics Dashboard Design

I’m passionate about designing analytics dashboards that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. I focus on data visualisation, usability, and intuitive storytelling to help users make better decisions.

MRTS Dashboard Design

This project is inspired by my work on an MRT dashboard tracking the construction progress of the Johor–Singapore line. Data collected from ground worker applications is transformed into a clean, insightful dashboard for real-time monitoring and decision-making.

Landing page for MRTS dashboard

This dashboard provides users with a clear and interactive view of data through effective visualisation, enabling quick understanding of project progress and performance. A built-in countdown feature highlights upcoming deadlines, helping users stay on track and enhancing overall user experience.

Color-coded indicators are used to flag lines that are approaching or have exceeded deadlines, allowing project managers to quickly identify risks and take action. Additionally, multiple tabs offer easy access to more detailed views and specific use cases, ensuring seamless navigation across different layers of information.

Drill-Down Insights & Detailed Analysis

Users can drill down into more detailed information by selecting individual lines on the dashboard. For example, overdue lines highlighted in red allow users to explore the specific reasons behind delays, providing deeper insight into project issues.

Each package also includes multiple tabs for further analysis, such as financials, resources, overall progress, safety, documents, and storage—enabling users to navigate and assess different aspects of the project in a structured and comprehensive way.

Media Gallery & Ground-Level Insights

Users can access a media gallery within the package details to visually track construction progress. The media is captured and uploaded through a separate application called Site Pro, used by ground workers on-site. This ensures real-time, ground-level updates are seamlessly fed into the dashboard, allowing project managers to monitor progress with greater clarity and context.

Safety & Risk Monitoring

Users can assess safety and risk metrics to identify potential hazards, monitor incident trends, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The dashboard highlights key indicators such as accident rates, near-miss reports, site risk levels, and safety compliance status, allowing project managers to quickly spot high-risk areas.

With clear visual cues and structured data, users can take proactive actions to mitigate risks, improve site safety, and ensure smoother project execution.

Pillar Progress & Timeline Visibility

This view allows users to monitor pillar construction progress through clear color-coded indicators (green, blue, grey, and yellow), making it easy to understand completion status and alignment with the project timeline. Users can quickly identify whether a pillar is on track, completed, in progress, or at risk of delay.

These visual cues enable project managers to proactively manage time and resources, focusing on areas that require attention before they become overdue. The use of intuitive, color-driven visuals enhances usability by reducing cognitive load, allowing users to grasp complex project statuses at a glance and make faster, more informed decisions.
